CHARLESTON, SC

For spring break we decided to stay local since we have a big trip coming up in a few months. We decided to head to Charleston, South Carolina for the day. It was about a 3 hour drive from where we are in North Carolina.

It's an easy drive for the most part. I would recommend leaving early to have more time in your day. We left around 10-1030 so we only had a few hours to explore. We parked at the Cumberland street parking garage which was kind of narrow and tight, but we were able to park our X5 with no issues. It's central to most of the area so you can walk or take a carriage tour. I think the parking was $4 an hour, $20 max for the day so not too bad.

I loved seeing the horses around town.

RAINBOW ROW
Known for the colorful homes. There are so many beautiful houses on this street.

FRENCH HUGUENOT CHURCH

For shopping I would recommend King Street which has everything from a Target to Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Love Shack Fancy, etc. I also recommend the drink stands on King Street. There are vendors selling lemonades and Arnold Palmers (my favorite) which were really good and of course I took no photos of my drink.

For dinner we stopped at this top rated crab house. The shrimp was really good. We also stopped at this cookie place which was good.

At some point during our time here in NC I'd like to head down to Hilton Head, SC for the weekend so I'd love any tips and suggestions if you have any!
