Favorite cafes in Seoul

Happy Saturday!  I wanted to share some of my favorite coffee shops we got to experience in Seoul, Korea. There are so many themed cafes, even some with animals, but sadly I didn't get to do those before we left. If you have the opportunity to explore some of these themed cafes, do it!

Here are a few of my favorites: 

Cheongsudang cafe. I saw this on til Tok before we moved and knew it was a must see. The steps in the entrance are stepping stones and it gives off a fairy, woodsy vibe. Please note, this cafe is NOT stroller friendly. You'll have to leave it outside somewhere. The inside is kind of tight, and has some hankok seating (floor seating). 

943 KING'S CROSS - HARRY POTTER CAFE

While I'm not a huge Harry Potter fan, I do love anything Harry Potter, if that makes sense. I appreciate all of the details that go into HP things and places. This cafe was one of them. Each floor has different things, on one of the floors you can dress up and take photos. I thought it was pretty cool. I don't think they serve coffee here, but we came for food and beer and it did not disappoint.

DDONG CAFE (POOP CAFE) 

This cafe was cute. Poop emojis and plushes everywhere. If you have kids (or adults, lol) that are fascinated with poop or poop emoji anything, this is a place for them that they will love. We got a croiffle (croissant waffle with ice cream) here too that was amazing.

 

PINK POOL CAFE

This cafe is all pink which I love! If you go through old pics on social media you'll see there used to be a pool in this cafe. It is no longer there as of September 2023. I'm not sure when it was removed but just fyi! 

This cafe was also a little confusing to find. It is located in the Stylenada store, but the cafe itself is on the top floor. There weren't any signs for it but once we got to the elevator we found a sign.

ROYAL MELTING CLUB (BARBIE CAFE)

I don't care how old I am, I will always love Barbie anything! This cafe is a little girls dream.

CAFE ONION AGKUK

One of the most popular hanock cafes in Seoul. There will be a line outside which you can see a bit in my photo. The desserts are amazing, you will want to grab one of everything.

 

KNOTTED

A cute little donut cafe. Definitely worth a stop!

 

CHEONGSUDANG CAFE

This hanock cafe is a total aesthetic VIBE. I found this cafe on Tik Tok, before we moved here. I knew it was one of the first cafes I wanted to visit. Just fyi, it is NOT stroller friendly.

MAMAMIA

This is a Mama Mia themed cafe i guess you could say? I loved the vibe of this cute cafe and everything from the colors to all of the florals all over. 

  

TAPE CAFE

This cafe is another one that i found on tik tok before we moved here. It’s a galactic cafe with a few desserts, coffee, and drinks.

CAFE LAYERED BUKCHON

This cafe is a few doors down from the Knotted donut shop. It is a great cafe to stop in either before/after visiting Bukchon Hanock Village. There is SO much to see and do in Seoul, so it took me a minute to try to get to everything and even then I didn't get to do it all. But anyway, definitely check this cafe out! The blueberry cheesecake was amazing!
