CURRENT MAKEUP FAVORITES (2025)

Happy Thursday!

It's been a minute since I've done one of these posts so I thought I would share some of my usual items and some new ones. As usual, this is a mix of drugstore and high end products.

MAKEUP TRUNK (Louis Vuitton) + ORGANIZER INSERT (mini size)

BRUSHES: I'm not someone who spends a ton of money on brushes because I clean them and replace  often. I have been using this 18 pc set from Amazon for years and I constantly re-purchase because the quality is good and it's only $10! (for all of those brushes!).

SPONGES: I use the Beakey sponges from Amazon, 5 pc for $7. Again, I replace these often so I don't feel bad spending only $7. I also use these triangle "puff" sponges for my setting powder. They come in a 6 pack for $6.

PRIMER:

I've been using the Milk primer for about two years now and I really like it. I also enjoy the ELF power grip primer as well and see no different between the two.

FOUNDATION:

My three holy grail foundations are:

Estée Lauder Doublewear (shade: 4N1 Shell beige)

Born this way (golden beige)

L'oreal Infallible (460 golden beige)

Sometimes I mix the shades on my face depending on the winter or summer months and how tan/pale I am. I also use the lumi glotion mixed in with foundation for a “glow”.

CONCEALER:

I use the Too faced super coverage concealer. I tried the mini size since my store was out of the full size and was immediately hooked, and ordered the full size online. I'm also still a big shape tape fan, but only re-purchase when it's on sale (light medium shade).

CONTOUR:

I use the fenty contour match stix.  I also just recently started using this desert island duo blush and bronzer stick by Dibbs beauty and I love it. I use shade 2, which is "You do you / mood boost".  I also got this $6 brush from amazon that I use for the blush/bronzer stick that I love. I also didn't want to spend $36+ on the Dibs one :)

SETTING POWDER:

Laura Mercier translucent setting powder has been a staple of mine. I've tried plenty of setting powders and the Laura Mercier and this ELF Halo glow setting powder have been my two favorites that I feel hold up really well.

BLUSH:

I am still a huge Milani fan! I have been using Luminoso for at least eight years now and am still happy with it. I've also used blushes from wet n wild (under $3!) and elf ($7!) that I enjoy just as much and I feel are better quality than most higher end brands. Check out the reviews to see for yourself. To add, the Hard Candy blush is another good, affordable option that I like AND you can grab at Walmart! I use shade "Living Doll". This one is comparable to Milani.

For liquid blush, I like the soft pinch liquid blush from Rare beauty in shades "Happy" and "Believe". A little goes a long way. I am able to use just a small dab and it stays on well throughout the day. I also use the ELF Camo liquid blush in shade peach perfect.

To add- I was a huge fan of NARS blush for YEARS but honestly, the formula changed in the last two years. It is now very sheer and you have to use more product to achieve half the pigmented look, if that makes sense. It's not the same anymore and I hate that I had to let it go.

HIGHLIGHTER: This Wet n Wild megaGLO is really good, check out the reviews. Don't let the brand and price fool you. Even though it's only $6 it's a really great product and so are the blushes I mentioned above.

EYESHADOW:

I've been using the Morphe "truth or bare" palette for a few years now. My exact color palette is no longer available, but this one is similar.  I love neutral shades and this palette has a bunch of neutral-cool tones that I love.  I also use the elf liquid eyeshadow as well.

BROWS:

I use the Milani "Stay put brow" brow pomade and brow pencil stick from elf ($3). I've also used the Anastasia brow pencil/brow pomade and to me, there is absolutely NO difference between those and the Elf/Milani.

MASCARA:

This one and this one (currently on sale!). I also like the Maybelline Sky High mascara.

EYELINER:

For liquid eyeliner, I love this breakup-proof liner. I also love that it's about $5. I've used this for years and prefer it over brand name liners.

I also use this Maybelline gel liner as well. I like to keep this in my purse incase I need to touch up.

LIPS: Oh man, I could go down a huge rabbit hole but I will keep it simple...lol.

liners: Charlotte Tilbury lip cheap (shade: pillow talk medium), MAC lip liner pencil (shade: soar, whirl), Maybelline lifter liner (shade: on it), Maybelline shaping liner (shade: magnetic mauve, beige babe).

lipstick: Dior, Charlotte Tilbury, MAC, YSL, NYX, Maybelline (vinyl, superstay, superstay two step)

lip oil: Dior lip glow oil (shade: raspberry)

gloss/plumper: Too faced, Buxom, Maybelline lifter, Fenty, Milani, Chanel (Bourgeoisie)

I'm the person who has 5 different shades/finishes in her bag at all times. Not even joking. But to keep it simple, these are my favorites, in many different shades and finishes, just to name a few.

SETTING SPRAY:

Milani "Make it last" matte setting spray - I grabbed this setting spray while we were overseas because my usual one was out of stock. I never went back to anything else, lol. I also like how they made a jumbo xl size bottle of this.

ELF power grip setting spray- I picked this up at Ulta a few weeks ago because of the high reviews and I love this one as well!

Both are $10 and work AMAZING! Can't beat that.
